Have worked in the dairy, grape and wine microbiology/biochemistry areas.
Thesis (MAppSc) on FSO2 induction of petite mutation in wine yeasts in 1980’s.
Moving towards retirement (current employment is security industry).
Keen to re-commence research in the plant science/microbiology/biochemistry area.
Particular research interests currently are bougainvillea, and a return to the petite mutation (respiratory-deficient) phenomenon in yeast and emerging similarities to tumour cell biochemistry.
Currently reading in spare time in this latter area.
Hoping to do a week or two research some stage this year on the latter to get a starting point, back into a laboratory, and pursuing this similarity.
